Blue & Yellow Ducky 1st Birthday

{little ducky}

I was going through some old pics and came across these from our Little Ducky1st birthday party that we styled last year and thought you might like to take a look - I've been a bit slack with getting pics of our work up....I will try to be better - promise!

The party was for a little boy who loves bath time and playing with his little yellow rubber ducky - so we decided that a blue and yellow rubber ducky theme would suit perfectly!

Our table was set up in a beautiful garden with stunning green hedging as a backdrop.

We also included a sweet little Lemonade Stand on a vintage tea trolley that we sourced from Ebay and painted white.

We did little Duck in the Pond jellies and these were a huge hit and so simple to make - simply fill baking cups (we used Paper Eskimo's blue striped ones) with blue jelly and top with a little fondant duck!

Other treats included cupcakes, cake pops, macarons and Di made the fabulous yellow ducky and number 1 cookies which looked so gorgeous and tasted divine.

Our blue cake pops with yellow sprinkles.

My first attempt at making my own Macarons - these were vanilla with a lemon curd filling.

We custom designed cute little favors which included these Little Ducky Bath Bubbles

and sweet little brown paper treat bags tied with a cute
tag and a pretty yellow and white striped grosgrain ribbon and
of course....little yellow Rubber Duckys

The gorgeous cake was made by Lorinda Seto of Cakes by Lorinda and
she did the most amazing job - such a super talented lady.  We have a feature coming
up about Lorinda soon showcasing some more of her beautiful designs - so be sure to check back to find out all about Lorinda and her gorgeous cakes.
